I just received some very sad news. A man, who has dedicated untold time and resources to exposing the truth about one Maine wind project, suffered a heart attack last night, at a meeting about that very project.
The following information comes to us from Rob Pforzheimer. Please keep Art and Cheryl in your thoughts and prayers.
DC
Art Lindgren, a leader of the effort opposing excessive noise from Vinalhaven wind turbines, suffered a heart attack last night at a board meeting of the Fox Island Electric Cooperative. Lindgren had been in the midst of an evening presentation about the reporting by Fox Island Electric to ratepayers and ongoing complaints about violations of state noise standards. The informal entity Mr. Lindgren leads– Fox Islands Wind Neighbors– have urged the state of Maine to enforce the law against Fox Islands Wind, the turbine operator. At considerable effort, cost, and often under severe weather conditions, Mr. Lindgren mastered complex acoustic measurement providing data from wind turbines from this rural, quiet area in Maine. Lindgren was airlifted from Vinalhaven, ten miles from the Maine coast, by LifeFlight helicopter last night after being resuscitated by observers. He is under treatment at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Art is a true treasure. He spent an hour and a half on the phone with me one Saturday trying to explain the difference between dBA and dBC.
My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family.
Get Well Soon Art!
This is not the time for negativity, character attacks, misinformation or scoring cheap points. Our sole focus, thoughts and prayers should be with Art and his family. May he have a speedy, full recovery.
#1. GET WELL! #2 STAY WELL – do what they tell you to do:-knitting- yes, snow shoveling – no. #3 as one of my colleages said, I guess he takes it to heart! We need live heros to continue the battles.
