If your town is considering allowing an Industrial Wind Development within its borders, INSIST that the Town first receive a study/report from Maine Revenue Service regarding the REAL tax implications of the development. This should include projections for the life of the project. If the Company is asking for a TIF, be VERY wary, and insist that you also receive a report from MRS that shows projections with the TIF in place. Generally, when towns do this, they find that the promises of the Developer are not exactly truthful. INSIST ON THIS INFORMATION BEFORE ALLOWING DEVELOPMENT!
